Green Moss

 I find it amazing that moss can grow in so many different places.  Here it is growing in the spaces between paving blocks but it grows on roofs, fences, trees, rocks, and so many other places and in an environment that only gets 25cm (10") of rain a year.

Theme Day Waters Edge

Novembers theme, waters edge, for me turned out to be a leak in the water line coming into the house.  The plumber had to dig down to the pipe and replace the section that comes through the wall in the basement.

The tree does not have many crabapples but the ones it has are of a good size.   Maybe someone will make crabapple jelly or jam.

Bridal Veil Falls

The waterfalls are pretty along the Historic Columbia River Highway some are close to the road and others you have to walk and walk.   Bridal Veil is not too far but you still have to go up the trail and than down the trail to get there then it back again.

Something from the archives.  Hotel Boise ca. 1960 or some time close to that.   Today the building is no longer a hotel but serves as an office building and is known as the Huff Building.   From the picture it looks like January maybe and taken from the Idaho Building on Bannock and 8th Streets.

Bike Parking

Trying to find a place to park a bicycle at the annual Art in the Park event was harder this year.  In this photo you can see lamp post and trees used to lock up a bike.

Parking Problems

Art in the Park this weekend the annual fund raiser for the Boise Art Museum with arts and crafts from local and regional artist.   Last year they had a place to park your bicycle but not this year.  Every tree, lamp post and fence that a bike could be locked to had a bike or two or maybe three locked to it.
