Green Moss

I find it amazing that moss can grow in so many different places.  Here it is growing in the spaces between paving blocks but it grows on roofs, fences, trees, rocks, and so many other places and in an environment that only gets 25cm (10") of rain a year.

Parking Problems

Art in the Park this weekend the annual fund raiser for the Boise Art Museum with arts and crafts from local and regional artist.   Last year they had a place to park your bicycle but not this year.  Every tree, lamp post and fence that a bike could be locked to had a bike or two or maybe three locked to it.

Wet and Dry

The contrast of the well watered grass of Quarry View Park and the dry hillside.   The quarry that is viewed from here is on the side and top ridge of the hill.  Sandstone was quarried for the old penitentiary which is used as museum now and just on the other side of the trees in the back of the park.

Hot Rod

While getting gas yesterday this shiny and loud hod rod pulled in to get some gas too.  I did not get to talk much with the cars owner.   I did find out he was wanting spring to come so he could get out more and put the top down.
