Old Pen Out Buildings

Walked over to the old Idaho penitentiary/ museum took some pictures of the old buildings.
The sign on the side of the this building says  "Bull Gang Rest House - Inmates who farmed behind the penitentiary made up the ' bull gang'".   Built from old concrete and sandstone blocks.

Dona Larsen Park

Where this entrance to Dona Larson Park is now was a junior high school when I was growing up.  Kids in the east end side of Boise were able to walk to school. A few years back the school district sold the land to Boise State University.  The University had the school removed and this park built in its place which seems to be closed to the public and used exclusively by the university athletic department.  Students are now bused to school.
