Run off  from the rain.

Roses

Went for a walk in the rain and came across these pale yellow roses.  The rain drops on the lens blurs the focus a bit and helps softens the image.

Cycle Pub

People sit on both sides of the bar and peddle to make the pub/bar/thing move. The guy standing is the one that steers the thing.

Block Party

Last Friday the Roosevelt Market had a block party.  Good time was had, talk to neighbors and friends and listened to music by Ned Evett & Triple Double.

We got a new bug in town and the state agriculture dept. is trying to figure out what to do about it.

Junk

Saw this truck across the street from the folks house.  We have been going through the folks 'junk' for a few months now getting ready for an estate sale.  Cleaning, sorting, pricing, and a bit of tossing stuff in the trash bins.  Seeing how the neighbors handle junk sort of made me smile.

New Houses

My sister and I went up to Idaho City to have lunch at Trudy's.  On the way back we stopped at an estate sale on the hill above the development at Harris Ranch.  Northeast Boise.  Not much at the estate sale but the view from there was interesting.

Builiding Up

A new building is going up in a spot downtown that has just a hole in the ground for the past 21 years.  Because of politics no one has been able to much with it until now.  Whatever, it is good to something now.

On Saturday I went on a scavenger hunt for Boise's 150th birthday with my sister.  The idea was to find bits of the city's and states history.  One of the stops was Mrs. Powell's candy store.  So many goodies yum.

Stop sign bombed with green yarn to look like stem and leaves.   It is a form of knitted or crocheted graffiti.

This succulent took root in very like soil with very little water but seem to be doing fine and has a burst of new growth.

It has been cold here and I haven't been out to take many pictures.  So I started going through some old slides that my grandfather took.  Shell gas station I do not know the year but the car might give a hint.

 Just as the last snow fall started to melt we get more snow today.

Green Moss

 I find it amazing that moss can grow in so many different places.  Here it is growing in the spaces between paving blocks but it grows on roofs, fences, trees, rocks, and so many other places and in an environment that only gets 25cm (10") of rain a year.

Theme Day: My Street

December's theme is, My Street.   My street goes from the river to the foothills in about 12 city blocks and has two parks and is crossed by two sections of the bike path/ greenbelt.
